His chapter "Selling Flyswatters To Hungry People" gives you the important clues People have problems, so pick a problem, find a real solution, then write your Book.
You must have a sincere desire to provide help to your future customer placed above your wish to just make money. At the same time Simon lets you know it is ok to pick a subject that is popular, that people want to know about and there is a possibility that a book on this subject will sell.
So, if you are thinking about writing your book, this book should definitely be on your read list.
This book is a rip-off of John Locke's information. Pure and simple. If you want to get inspired to "write" and promote your own books, read Locke's book instead. He actually made a bundle and did get famous, whereas this author is a nobody. Check for yourself.
And if you've ever had a book published, self-published, or even written anything longer than a check to the electric company, you don't need the weak information included here. The author is going on the assumption that the reader is illiterate and can't put three words together competently.
I returned this book for a refund. It's not worth "just" 2.99.
I have been on Simon's list for years, and played with many of the programs in his membership site. He always delivers outstanding value, but I've not really found where I belong in the Internet business game. Not any more! He has presented such a clear picture of how to go about becoming a self published author that, being naturally curious, loving writing and being good at it, and interested in many many things, I'm so excited I've found where I fit in the Internet miracle. I have so many ideas I'm writing them down fast; probably they won't all happen but enough of them will. Thanks so much Simon, I'm moving ahead now, thanks to you.

In the last few months, I have pretty much given up on internet marketing (affiliate) marketing, after more than two years of meager returns and heartburn. The idea of writing and going on self-publishing platforms like has obsessed me more and more. I have always been a good writer I need to transform that into achievements, and to this end, I have been buying and rabidly perusing plenty of stuff. I bought Simon Hodgkinson's "Earn More Work Less Get Famous" basically because it was priced so low - without too many expectations. I am glad I did buy it. There's tons I learned from it - several new techniques and spin-offs on those techniques I am not going to be telling anyone, even Simon - on my first two preliminary readings. Obviously, I am going to be reading it a whole lot more as I start implementing. Thanks, Simon. I am reasonably sure you have contributed to better days ahead for me.
I'd bet money there isn't even one information product creator highly experienced in this field who knows every technique in this book.
Perhaps uniquely, the writing is also so clear and well laid out that even a total beginner could become successful in a very short time.
Certainly a lot quicker than with any of the many programs that sell for hundreds of dollars (or more!).
Because those are bad? No, not at all, but the huge amount of detail in those programs distracts many away from actually getting off the ground.
Think of this book as the best collection of checklists you could imagine for making money with information products, with good background thrown in to explain WHY (oh, that oft-forgotten question).
There is nothing here that will distract you from taking action, and you get many real-life examples to inspire you.
If it sold for ten times as much, it would still be worth it.
(In fact, even if it sold for a hundred bucks it would be worth it, but then of course nobody would believe that and sales would be near zero.)
Just get it, you won't regret it.
