When seventeen-year-old, Kendrick “K-Roc“ Snyder sees that his mother is in need of help, he tries to come up with a last-minute solution to her problems. Kendrick turns to the grimy streets of Dallas, Texas for what is supposed to be temporary but somehow gets trapped by the lifestyle. Within a year’s time, the squad he’s put together, including his thirteen-year-old baby brother, Kenny, is starting to reap the benefits of the neighborhood’s drug trade.
Being so young makes the team the target of a few savages, and before the real money even begins rolling in, some life changing situations occur, leaving Kendrick in the position to make catch twenty-two decisions.
His biggest problem arises when he crosses paths with Black, a career jackboy. Black gains a profit from his sleek armed robbery on Kendrick’s clique but loses something much more valuable than the money he’s collected. In order for him to get back his most prized possession, he has to return what he’s taken, with interest. What happens when he learns that his partner in crime has lost everything they stung for?

This was a good book to read. My first by the author but I'm sure it won't be my last to read. Great job.
I got a feeling that Melody dad is Black.All of these people was robbing each other.Kendrick is in jail for his little brother and that is real love.Can't want on next book.
I only have 2 sons, and K J Swoopes is my 2nd, word's can not express how proud I am of him for accomplishing something that had never crossed his mind until he was faced with one of many obstacles that life throws at you.
